"I love it when a plan comes together" said a jubilant Zappia, "We set some pretty high goals going into the last event, and to almost achieve them all is a testimony to the maturity and standard of our team. We aim high, and work hard at a lot of one percent details on the car and thankfully most of them actually work".
Zap Top Qualified after running 5.866 @ 241.07mph, 5.831 @ 245.90mph and 5.810 @ 247.02mph. Round two saw Zap put away Benny the Kid Bray with a 5.805 @ 246.08mph - resetting the National ET record.
The Final saw Zap with a hole shot over Juddy and win with another "five Eight" - his sixth for the event - 5.817 @ 246.93mph and confirm his status as Australia's king of doorslammer tuning and driving. Zap is also $12,000 richer as winner of the Karcher Tri-State Shootout. The $20,000 prize money is shared between the top three competitors in the Shootout with a breakdown of $12,000, $5000 and $3000.

Oil Drag Racing Series event at Maple Grove Raceway to score his latest win in the
Santhuff-equipped Guest & Rinehart Super Stock Camaro. Marty's opponent in the

Well Represented |

Santhuff's would like to congratulate all of our customers who attended the ADRL Finals in Texas, we were well represented at the track. Our stuff was in the finals on both cars in Pro Extreme, Carpenters car in Pro nitrous, and Ulschs car in 10.5. The racing was great with Santhuff cars running good all weekend. In the finals Santhuff newcomer Alex Hossler in his Duncan built car layed down a 3.73 at 202.48, just edging a tough to beat Quain Stott with a 3.75 at 205.57. Carpenter did what he does best, he cosistenly layed down passes in the 3.90s and capitalized on mistakes by other drivers all while nursing a wounded motor. Although Balooshi won Carpenter made him earn it, great job. In 10.5 Chuck Ulsh was just on a mission avenging a tough loss in the battle of the belts. He cosistently ran passes in the 3s all weekend. We are also glad to hear Jason Hamstra is ok and will race again. Oustanding Job All Santhuff Customers

Price Changes |
Santhuff's would like to inform every one that on September 1, we will be raising prices on rear shocks, certain struts, and some other items. Everybody who uses our products knows we do not cut corners or use parts that we don't feel are safe, we will always provide a top quality product that does what is supposed to do. With building a top quality product does come cost, we refused to raise prices for as long as we could however our suppliers aren't as nice and for us to continue building products that allow racers to compete at top levels we have to raise prices. We are also working very hard to get are lead time down as we know nobody likes to wait to long. We will be mailing dealers new price sheets and updating the online prices in the next few weeks.
Thanks and feel free to call with questions or comments.

BOB WEST AND THE QUEST FOR THAT 9 SECOND PASS |
| |

All Drag Racers since the beginning of the sport have set personal goals to achieve, and many work dang hard to get there - if you're reading this you're probably one of them and know exactly what we're talking about. Bob West is one of those hard working racers. He runs some brackets, test n' tunes and works on his car to see just how fast he can run on a limited budget and still keep the car street legal. Bob's goal is a 9 second pass out of his Naturally Aspirated, stock suspension, pump gas, 3680 lb 1972 Chevelle he calls "Green Weenie". Bob called us up earlier this year and we fixed him up with a new set of springs for the front of his car to help improve it's launch. We hear the new springs are working quite well, as Bob has set a new personal best 60' of 1.325 after installing them. He's been seen carrying the wheels out & putting the fans on their feet a lot here lately. Those big wheelies are a good example of what the right spring for the car weight will do when you pack all that stored energy in there! As of Mid November Bob's not quite got that 9 second slip...yet! He did just run a 10.077@128.68 into a strong headwind last weekend, so we'll bet that that 9 second pass is just around the corner this year if the weather cooperates. When he does finally collect it we'll be proud to have been a small part of his success on meeting that magical 9 second pass! (KCIR 11/16/08) - Today Bob got his 9 second pass at KCIR in the cooler Fall air. The Green Weenie went 9.996@130.75 with a 1.457 60' tripping the beams with the back tires. Congratulations Bob from all the folks here at Santuff! Customer News - Posted November 17th, 2008 | |
